The Seven Wonders of the Present Age
A list of about 200 buildings was compiled in 2000 to create the Seven Wonders of the Modern Age. Among them, the most popular seven wonders are chosen by the New Seven Wonders Foundation. Later, in 2007, a new list was published in Lisbon, Portugal, which was the current Seven Wonders list.

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal, a famous monument in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India, is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. During the Mughal era, this memorial was built in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The beauty of this monument made entirely of white marble stones attracts everyone. The construction of the monument started in 1632 AD. It took about 22 years to build the monument. 1653 The construction of the monument was completed. Ustad Ahmed Lahouri was the main architect for the construction of this monument.

The Great Wall of China

Many people have heard about the Great Wall of China. The Chinese emperor King Si Huang started the construction of this Great Wall to protect his empire from outside enemies. The construction of this Great Wall started around 208 BC. The wall is about 8852 km long and about 5 to 8 feet high. The Great Wall is the world's largest man-made wall. It is also included in the list of seven wonders of the world due to its amazing size.

Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is a very interesting and popular place located on top of a mountain above the Urubamba Valley in Peru. It is the ruins of a city. In 2007, Machu Picchu was included in the list of seventh wonders of the world. Many say the word Machupichu means 'old mountain'. The city is believed to have been built around 1450. Within the next 100 years, the Inca civilization centered around the city was destroyed. After that for hundreds of years it was out of sight of people. In 1911, the ruins of an American historic city were brought to the fore.

Christ the Redeemer

Christ the Redeemer is a giant statue of Jesus on top of a hill in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The statue is about 30 meters high in height. The work of making the statue was completed in 1931. This colossal statue is also included in the list of seven wonders of the world.

Colosseum

The Colosseum is a large roofless arena in Rome, Italy. It was developed mainly for the purpose of various exhibition and competitive activities. It was built around 70 to 80 AD. It is still very attractive even today, despite much damage due to earthquakes later on. So it is also kept in the list of seven wonders of the world.

Petra

Petra is located at the foot of Mount Hur, just east of a village called Wadi Musa in southwest Jordan. Many believe that the word belly comes from the Greek word ' petros '. Chichen Itza

'Chichen Itza' is currently located in the Yucatan state of Mexico. It was once a huge city of the ancient Maya civilization. According to many it was built around 600 AD. The city was spread over an area of about 100 square kilometers. A pyramid shaped pillar is located right in the middle of the city. It is considered the symbol of Chichen Itza. This pyramid-shaped pillar is surrounded by many stair-like steps. Chichen Itza has earned its place among the seven wonders of the world due to its special heritage.These wonders are all impressive feats of engineering and architecture, and they continue to amaze and inspire people from all over the world.
