There is a picnic spot in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila that is focused on the Chandramahal building and is near to the Ranjitpur hamlet. Really, it's a magnificent piece of artwork. The Chandramahal was influenced by the Taj Mahal. The ecopark was built in 2002 on around 30 acres of land and was given the name Nasima Huda Chandra by Chandramahal's founder Salim Huda. The magnificence of Chandramahal will wow any traveler. Particularly when the golden portion of the mahal's upper half is illuminated by the intense sunlight, the mahal appears to be made of precious metals.

There is water all around the Chandramahal. To get to Chandramahal, a paved road was taken underwater. Visitors can view the large fish on the other side of the thick glass if you stop in the middle of the road. The locals think that millions of tourists visit the Sundarbans in the winter. And because Chandra Mahal is situated on the route to the Sundarbans, a sizable portion of Sundarbans visitors stop by to see Chandra Mahal. Because of this, Chandramahal sees a little bit more visitors than other parks.

Here, many human and animal sculptures made of stone, clay, reed, and cane have been built for tourists. Clay has been used to make a number of memoirs of rural life, including abstract depictions of rural women's way of life. This work of clay art was made to provide a glimpse into the medieval centuries rural life of fishermen, farmers, washermen, etc.

Pansi boats, false gallows for the 1971 Razakar, dinosaur statues, fake railway tracks, bamboo houses and restaurants on the river, fish aquaculture in small ponds, brick-cement crab and oyster ponds, and a statue of a tiger, horse, and deer are all there. There are places for travelers to picnic.

Old coins, postal stamps, military equipment, prayer items, religious artifacts, vermilion vases, stone furniture, different colored stones, a hundred-year-old collergun, the tiniest gramophone, rare manuscripts, and bamboos are mostly among them. Insects, various kinds of ceramics, miniature insects, leaf insects, brass hairpins from the 1700s to 1800s, silver teapots, the tiniest Quran Sharif in the world, half flutes, and other items are remarkable.

Chandramahal Eco Park has several restaurants. Apart from this, Bagerhat has a few basic food hotels near the bus stand and dargah. But definitely know about the food quality and price.

How to reach Chandramahal Eco Park

Many trains leave Dhaka from Sayedabad daily from 6 am to 10 am and from 7 pm to 10 pm – Meghna (0171717388553), Banphool, Tahir (01711131078), Falguni, Ara, Baleshwar, Hamim and Dola.

Besides, Sohag (01718679302), Shakura (01711010450), Hanif and Eagle transports depart from Gabtali. Rent 300 to 400 taka. Travel time takes about 7 hours.

You can go to Khulna by intercity train Sundarban Express and then take a bus to Bagerhat. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Rupsa to Bagerhat.

Chandramahal is located in Ranjitpur village along the Khulna-Mangla highway. Traveling by bus you can get down near this village. Just mention Chandra Mahal and the bus driver will drop you at the right place. You can also hire battery operated vehicles to and from Bagerhat city. Or you can take a bus from Bagerhat to Khulna to reach Chandramahal.

In Bagerhat Sadar, there are several different hotels. In addition, there are government lodgings. The Mumtaz Hotel on Rail Road is a lodging option nearby. Despite having limited amenities, this hotel offers good customer service at a moderate price. Additionally, this hotel is surrounded by other hotels where guests can stay.
